I recently bought an E machine at a flee market. I got it home and powered it up and get a prompt to Enter Password. I have no idea what the password was for this machine. Is there any way i can bypass this password prompt so i can start using the computer. Any help will greatly be appreciated.

Bios password or windows password? for a windows password on startup cancel always worked for me.

All I see is a black hole, and sooner or later they’re going to suck each one of us into it. But when they come for me, I'm going to take as many of them with me as I can.

if it's a bios password, there's usually a pin or a jumper that you can use on the motherboard to bypass/reset the password.

Check the manual online, but chances are that since it's an E-Machine, you won't find what you need.

If you can't find the required documents, tell us the model of your shitbox, we might get luckier.

Last resort = contact the flea market seller and ask for his password

Maybe you'll discover lots of pr0n

If its a desktop and its a BIOS password you can just unplug it and locate the CMOS battery , then take it out. you should only have to leave it out for like 20 mins and that will almost always reset it.

if its a windows password and its XP Home you can hit F8 while the computer is starting and go into safe mode, from theretry to log into the admin account , if it doesn't have a password you can remove passwords from the other accouts there
