Stream Hulu over your PS3 (or Xbox 360) without Linux

PlayOn! | MediaMall Technologies

I tried this last night. The program works great. You have to be running Windows Media Player 11 in Vista or XP, and the Playstation 3 has to have the latest system updates.

Download the beta client (link above) and run the program. It starts a service in the background so your PS3 can connect.

Once a network connection is established on the Playstation and it's set to enable a media server, restart the PS3 and under Videos you should see tons of TV shows.

Very neat!

PS - It also works with the Xbox 360, but I have not tried it yet.

yea i tried this on both my 360 and ps3 and its pretty neat.

i dont know if its because its still beta, but i can only play like 10 mins of a video before it kicks me back to the dashboard/xmb. it happens on both systems and i didnt bother looking in to why it does that

I set this up on my 360, it's pretty sweet, though I wish it had a search function.

Anyone tried this? And if so, are you having problems with Hulu videos now?

I tried to login tonight and noticed Hulu videos don't work. I don't know what's changed though... I can list the episodes and everything else on this service works fine, but Hulu videos give an error like, "The folder cannot be accessed. This content may have been deleted from the media server."

I'm going to try updating the software now, but last time I tried a newer version it didn't seem to have a demo mode and wanted me to pay to use it. =/

From reading the forums, it looks like they added age restrictions on some content (such as It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia), requiring you to create an account. This account feature probably broke the software. I guess we'll have to wait for a new version before it works again.

A new update claims to fix the issues I talked about in the above post and adds support to watch movies as well. I can't test this until I get home though.
