are side case fans suppose to blow air in or out. it seems like it could be both.

humm, well in this case its kinda messed up. i have 4 80mm intake fans in the front and one on the side now and only one 120mm fan and the PS fan in the back to blow all that air out

how am i going to cut a hole in the metal, i dont have a dremal or anything. someone figure out a getto ass way i can do this.

edit: i have a super cheap $17 case WITH 300watt PS so this metal is paper thin, it cant be that hard.

ya, this is a replacement case for my porn server
cheap case and a shit load of fans for the 9 hard drives im gonna put in it. it sits in my closet so i wanted the cheapest case i could find that has 11bays

I just use a hole saw and cordless drill to cut the holes.

i would just put a decent size hole in it with an ice pick and then work my way from there

I read somewhere that if your CPU fan is near your rear fan/s, and your rear fans blow out of the case. That the CPU and rear fans will try to suck air from the same place causing turbulence. I have two front intake, a side exhuast, PSU exhuast, and rear intake and my computer seems to be very cool.

side fans are overrated. just another source to suck dust into being because alot of people dont put dust guards on the fans.

yea, i really need to get dust guards on my case. I put them on the upstairs computer and WOW we have a dirty house.

I made my own dust filters with wire hangers and stockings. They work great.

My house has no dust... i clean my computer yearly and there is just enough to rub iff my fan blade with your finger. The clear bladed oens you can stil see through perfectly even after a year

my case is open with a desk fan blowing in so no dust gets in.......
