| Senior Member | So i had a wireless router downstairs, but I mainly use my laptop upstairs, so the reception goes to shit (2 bars) Now, I have two wireless routers, one dlink and the other a netgear. the cable modem is downstairs. I tried connecting an output port from downstair's router to a wireless router upstairs, but it just doesn't work. The only thing I got to work was to directly connect the cable modem to the wireless router upstairs. Do you guys know of any ways to inter-connect two routers? |

| Dont mess with old school | Can you put one of the routers in repeater mode? Are you actually running a cable between the two routers? If so connect them by using both of the routers regular ports then turn off the secondary routers dhcp server. |
