| | SATA Drive + ATA Drive? | permalink #1 |
| Junior Member | Ok, I just got a 250GB Sata drive given to me, and I already have a 150 GB ATA drive in my computer, and I'm looking to Add the SATA drive as my main/master drive. Just wondering if there's a special way of doing it or are there any problems with it? | |

| Rogue One | PATA and SATA controllers are separate things, so you'll have your PATA drive as the master on it's controller and the SATA driver as master on it's controller. That's all there is to it, you don't need to worry about setting one to be a slave and the other to be a master. | |
