Hey all. I'm on the road right now and have some relatives back home who could use a little help. I was wondering if it was possiable to use Win XP's Remote assistance to allow me to remote control their machines and do what work I need to do.

If so, how about a link to a tutorial. If not, how about some shareware/trial versions I could use.

Thx all

Can't say that I've used Windows Remote Assistance very often. A good remote program I used to use a long time ago was RAdmin.

I think they just email you the request. It is within the Request Remote Assistance part of the start menu.

I'll never be too old to tweak.

The problem with remote assistance and remote desktop is that the correct ports need to be forwarded if they are behind a router. Depending on how savy they are that could be an issue just setting it up.

Other than that windows remote desktop is great and I use it all the time.
