I gotta get a flash drive soon and im now deciding on what i need to buy.
Im hearing stories left and right about flash drives mysteriously failing out of nowhere and crapping out. So i'd like to avoid those. :P

post up yours and if you think it was worth the money and if its reliable.

I have a 2GB memorex and its worked like a champ for the last 6 months. I accidently passed it through the wash even one time and it came out and worked fine (after drying off).
I also have a 128MB sandisk cruzer that has lasted for 3 years now never lost a bit of data.

I have a Sandisk 512mb micro flash drive, and its worked flawlessy for about 9 months now... I accidently drenched it in some HI-C that was spilled in my cup holder, and it works to this day perfectly fine...

My 256mb Cruzer of just over a year recently bit the dust.

I have a 512MB SanDisk Cruzer Micro that has worked like a charm so far (about a year)... however, I'd recommend the 1GB version instead. 512MB just isn't enough--at least for me.

my 1 GB kingston stick works very well. And you can format as many as you want of the 1GB for the secure zone

I had a Kingstom 128mb stick that never gave me problems - till I busted the USB connector out of it (learn the lesson kids: never use your laptop with a USB jumpdrive attached to it in a couch...). I bought a 256m Sandisk Cruzer Micro and I love it. It's really small (which is a plus given the small room my school's Gateways have to attach a USB drive) and it's metal body gives (to me at least) some sort of built-in physical mishaps warranty. The only problem I have with it is that after a while it starts to heat up like a MOFO. I'm guessing it's due to the light going off only in I/Os instead of Off except in I/O, but it dowsn't affect it's performance in any way.

I have a 128mb Sandisk and have never had problems with it, quick and easy little bugger.
