so i am thinking of getting the Kingston HyperX 1GB PC3200 400MHz 2x512MB DDR for my ASRock Socket 939 Dual SATA2 motherboard.

my only question is that the CAS latency of the memory is 2-3-2-6-1 or CL 2

will that be compatible with the motherboard?

It should certainly work, but you may not always be able to run it at the speeds the manufacturer claims.
