hello :0

so, my ram is running at 2T, and from what i gather its better to run at 1T.
But, how much better? Is this a quality that depends on the specific stick of ram?(eg, can only some sticks make 1t, or is it pretty easy/common?). Should i just turn it on and see if my computer asplode?

Sorry for the pointless post to sound like an idot......but what the hell is 2T and 1T when it comes to RAM? :s

Could you be speaking of fsb-ram ratio? jamsan mentioned that to me in the thread "smoke??" and sped things up a bit. I've edited the quote to what I'm referring.

The ram is listed in my sig.

Q6600@ 3.4 Underwater, P5E-VM HDMI, 4GB OCZ, EVGA 8800GT, PCP&C 610w

O.k. This is it-
http://www.lostcircuits.com/memory/ddr2/4.shtml
in your other post you said you were overclocked, If this is the same pc this article suggests you may need the 2T timing.
quote- " If the memory bus frequency is increased, often, the command bus latency needs to be increased as well. Therefore, at 133 MHz operation, the command latency often is set to 2T. That is, the command is latched only on the second cycle. Keep in mind that this latency only affects the initial access of a memory chip and all subsequent accesses are queued without additional delay. This means that for subsequent memory accesses, the CMD Rate is irrelevant, however for every access of a different page or chip, the initial command latency will come into play again. "
It also mentions needing the delay if you have multiple sticks of ram.
It's a good read, check it out.
