| Keeper of the Timeline | yup, because if you have cable with DHCP, you just have to plug it in. A dial-up though, will need a few codes here and there. So tell us |

| From Utah, NOT mormon | Not sure about your motherboard, but my old motherboard's network card wouldn't work until I installed the motherboard software to use it. I'd download a copy of all of your drivers just incase. |

| Globe Trekker | Yeah, you'll need to install the system drivers, but the ISP should just be plug and play. |

| Administrator | Your router isn't detected? You neglected to mention whether you are using a wireless or wired connection. It sounds like your NIC driver did not get reinstalled, so you probably need to download and install that. Otherwise, check start>>run type cmd and press enter. Then run ipconfig to see if you obtained a valid ip address from the dhcp server. |

| Tech No0b | okay after so much fuss of contacting ISP, installing drivers off the cd.. it FINALLY connected! woo what a relief. After re-installing windows, the Ethernet driver wasnt installed, so i had to install that once i found it.. all is fine now. thanks |
