I got a new radio for my car which allows Ipod/USB flash drives and installed it today. I never really paid much attention to the track names because I always put them on CD...anyways, is there a way to rename the mp3 files so they organize better on my flash drives?

Example:
03- Calm like a bomb.mp3

to

RATM- Calm like a bomb.mp3 or
Calm like a bomb.mp3

Who wants to sex Mutombo!?

Mp3tag. You can specify what to include in the title.
Mp3tag - the universal Tag Editor (ID3v1, ID3v2, APEv2)

I like MusicBrainz Picard. It will rename mp3s into any format that you want. It can also pull out the title/artist of a track if you don't know what it is or if it isn't labeled correctly to begin with.

It's actually a pretty cool program when you are trying to reorganize your mp3 collection.

Can either/both of these do entire directories? I just dl'd the first program but I'm still watching basketball and haven't had a chance to play with it yet.

Yes, pick your directory and then select all and specify how you want to rename them.
