anybody know how to preselect a user at the windows logon screen so I just have to type in my password without clicking my name first?

The only option I'm aware of is one that deletes or keeps the last users name in the logon screen.

I can also make it so a particular user is autmatically logged in.

I don't want autologin, I'd prefer a modicum of security.

i'm just lazy and want my name pre-clicked on

If you're using XP, can't you just turn off the Welcome screen from the Users applet in the Control Panel? The Win2K-style logon screen will keep the last username you used, so all you need to do is type in your password.

I knew about the win2k logon style. I use it on my laptop. This isn't what i wanted, but its the best of what you guys have given me

I don't want to log in automatically, i just want the password field highlighted!
