I've switched over to to the RC1 of Open Office. It seems quite nice, and I've not run across much in the way of bugs, exept for problems setting Border distances.

Anyone else using this? If so, what problems have you run across?

I'm waiting till it's final.

How does if compare to the older version? I heard this one had a total UI overhaul.

It did. It's much more MS-ey now. The database and mail merge are really much better now, too. Also, there are floating toolbars that only pop up when you need them, like the bullets and tables. There's a database module now for one's database needs, so that it's not hidden away in the "data sources", like it is in the old 1.1.x version. This will make my Christmas Address list much easier to deal with now.

The PDF export has been improved. I've not tried out the flash creation thingy, but it sounds kind of nifty for presentations...

I didn't get alot of time to work with the older version but nevertheless I like the look and feel alot better with this most recent release.

The way you do anything is the way you do everything.
