Ok, so my dad's using my desktop right now, but i want to be able to watch hdtv on my extra monitor... do you guys know of any good dongles for hdtv usb? I found this on newegg, but no reviews, would this work? Newegg.com - DIAMOND HDTV100 TV TUNER - Retail And then would i just plug a cable running from that into this? Newegg.com - TERK HDTVs Slim Profile Outdoor HDTV Antenna - Retail
Those products seem kind of expensive, do you guy's recommend anything different that you think would work better? I will be just viewing my local tv shows such as office, family guy, and heroes...

I don't get what your are trying to do. You want to use one of your monitors as a TV? Like.....convert the cable signal to VGA?

Ok. You can bypass the laptop alltogether with one of these:
Newegg.com - Once You Know, You Newegg
Those will take any video signal and convert it to VGA output.

If you wanted to keep the monitor plugged into the laptop, then you would need a USB TV tuner like you posted. I've only used ATI tuners, never had issues with them, so I would recommend:
TV WONDER USB 2.0

I don't know much/anything about HDTV. What is the source of the HDTV signal that you want to display on the monitor?

Why do you need an HD antenna then? Couldn't you just plug the HDTV reciever right into the TV tuner?

I was confused as to why you needed an HD antenna.
