netgear wireless router

ok i pick up netgear wireless router today. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...46569?v=glance
anyone port one my gaming rig is solid green light and cable test in 4.2mb.
my data computer on the other hand is amber color light and 1.2 mb.
i have tryed diffrent cables and all ,but second computer want speed up i have it at full duplex.
i think its pci network card is old as hell realtek. so once i switch that out it may fix that .
now for second problem the connection light for router to modem is amber as well. i cant find for life of me what this means ? netgear site sucks ass..
i thought it means poor connection from router to modem but 4.2mb seems good to me.anyway if anyone has a netgear and can fill me in on some of thesse details i'd really be thankful.

All my lights are green except for the wireless light, which is a constantly flashing amber light -- WAN light is green, and any hardwired connections are green... not sure what to tell you really...try the new nic in the data pc, and see if it cahnges anything... are all the wires you're using cat5 or better?
