Ok so I had Nero 7 on my laptop, then Nero 8 came out so I upgraded. Unwise, apparantly. Nero 7 > Nero 8. So I redownload Nero 7 and go to uninstall Nero 8. It won't let me do that, says I'm missing a file that's necessary to remove it. So I redownload Nero 8 and go to reinstall it. Can't do that either. So I'm stuck with a copy of Nero 8 that won't work and I can't install or reinstall to uninstall. Y'dig?!

Lol, help?

i dont have an answer besides just using ccleaner first, then searching the computer for *nero*, deleting, and manually removing them from the add/remove panel.

i swear, nero used to be such an awesome burner.. and now look..
likewise norton, remember when norton antivirus used to be the shit? now it is shit..

why the fuck do all these baddass apps eventually turn into globs of bloatware? I dont get it. I really wanna buy nero 8 and only install burning rom/vision... but i dont think i could plunk down $80 to find out its not what i was expecting... wtf is wrong with these developers these days?? are secret organizations paying them to bloat it up and gather our information?? FUCK!!! *pulls hair out*

I wonder why all companies that have a home-Run product feel the need to add feature after feature, till their product is a huge ungainly sprawling mess, that would be better done if they made three or more separate products instead of one huge Brontosaurus of a bloatware product.

One's I put in this list so far:
Adobe Acrobat reader
Nero 6 and up
Zone Alarm
all utilities from Norton
ZipGenius

Any more you would add to this list?

It's called job security. All the programers come up with new shit for the programs so they have something to do.

I'm trying to evolve.

Nero used to be the shit, what happened? It's so fucking bloated now. I've got a cracked copy of 7 Ultra, and it plays movies and music, photos, and all this other bullshit. I just need a way to burn files and ISOs, and duplicate discs. That's it!

I still like Nero 6 myself, doesn't really give me much trouble.

sooner or later nero 6 wont be supported by all these newer drives and formats.
this is why i still feel the need to upgrade to nero 8, i want that peace of mind that it'll be compatible with burners and formats down the road.

I have no use for any CD burning products anymore. I usually only burn images so I use DVD Decrypter to burn and rip any DVDs. I use iTunes to burn music so I'm set.
