i'm full up. time to buy a new hard drive. i'm looking around the 250gig range. so what features should i look for that will give me the best performence, 16mb cache, NCQ or sata2. they dont make any dive with all three. and i will have to get a controller card because my motherboard doesnt support sata. i'm probably going to be using this drive when i build a new computer in 6 months.

I'm not much of a fan of maxtor, never really was... Seagate on the other hand, they're drives are fast and silent and reliable... should check them out

I've allways been a fan of Western Digital. I've had 2 Maxtor drives fail on me this year alone. Never had a Western Digital fail on me before.

The best I see are Maxtor and WD, Theres a maxtor 250GB in my HP and its very fast for loading files plus you cant hear it at all so its really the best to buy, and Seagate sucks balls, Ive had them go all bad sector and shit on me with past computers.

yea a virus isn't going to make your hard drive spin backwards. sounds like your hd went bad, and it more than likely wasn't spinning backwards

A virus/worm cannot do that.
