I am very new to linux and am trying to install my graphics card drivers for linux.
I need the drivers for ATI radeon Xpress200 intergrated graphics. I downloaded the linux drivers from the Ati sight but I can't install them. What program do I need to install the .rpm drivers. I am useing ubuntu X86 32 bit. Thanks

I was a Dragon force fan before Guitar Hero..

Actually, if you browse around the older posts in this forum you should find quite a lot of help as well.

The main thing to check at this point is Automatix. In general Automatix will solve probably 95% of your Ubuntu problems / questions.

Yeah try the Automatix when i had ubuntu, everything seemed to be working pretty well

I have UT2003 installed and running on my daughter's Ubuntu box, but for some reason it crashes on my laptop. It's got Intel onboard graphics so I may be screwed...

PS - UT2003 runs like a scalded dog on Linux! It's pretty impressive...

Oh yeah? What display adapter is in yours? I've got a Dell Latitude D610 (Pentium M 1.8ghz w/ 512MB of ram and Intel VGA). The splash screen comes up and then it just goes away...

Huh. Turns out my D610 has an ATI Mobility Radeon X300 w/ 64MB dedicated RAM, so it should at least run UT2003. I'm going to play around with it and see what I can come up with.

EDIT: The readme pretty much said "Nvidia only, sorry!". So much for that...
