I turn on my pc and my pc wont see the hd's... then i hit the restart button and it works... i put check ram so my pc took longer to start upthis way the drives would start spinning and get full speed but i dunoo wtf the issue is... maxtor drives... asus mobo... happend on my last setup with a diff mobo cpu and ram.. so its the hd's and a setting in bios that i can prolly hit

sounds like a dying PSU

I had an enermax start to go on me when I switched from PATA to SATA drives (still running 2 drives though) and it either could spin them up but not keep them spinning, or not start them at all

I had a PC which every so often wouldnt see the HDD (usually after a soft reset), turned out the HDD was dying.

Maybe test the HDD with the manu. tools?
