Die Winamp, just die. Okay, so thats going a little overboard but I've given up on it ever since I realized just how choppy of video playback it has. It doesn't have any support for multiple language streams or subtitle configuration even after all this time. The developers must seriously be sitting on their thumbs all day.

I still use it occasionally since the streaming radio/tv aspect of the media library kicks ass. I'm still waiting for WMP to incorporate that. Or someone should put it into WMP Classic.

I will forever and always stick with Winamp 2.91. It works great and doesn't have any bloat.

The only time I use winamp for video is when ac3 is too quiet in WMP.

I used to be a die-hard winamp fan, but then I kept seeing esun posting about foobar2000. Well, I was a little curious, so I checked it out. There are so many features and customizability at your fingertips. You can change every aspect of it, from colors, to how songs are displayed, to using freedb.org to automatically tag your albums.

that's the thing though, Sparky's Foobar setup looks nothing like mine(or the default for that matter), mine looks nothing like my buddy's. If you've got any coding skills whatsoever(I don't btw), you can make Foobar look pretty much however you want. And forgetting the UI altogether, Foobar has fucking insane support for so many different formats.

Ehh I tried it. I don't really like it, but I have a hard time switching from something that I'm used to.

phht, 5.09 wrecked the cddb track database gubbins, reinstalling 5.04 fixed that.

for audio the 5.04 build plus the latest ipod plugin http://www.mlipod.com/ (works much better than shi**y itunes) I have no complaints.

Like Mr Ali said, mplayer for video, winamp for audio.

Recommend the Iplay skin as well
