did a thread about Vista sucking. Actually it's a neat OS. Lots of functional eye candy. The driver support had me frustrated as hell and I had to get new hardware that I wasn't prepared to buy. But after a month of sphynkter-phactorring, I now have a fully funtional E6700/vista ultimate/8800gts bundle worthy and capable for next month's release of Bioshock and HL2 ep two in sept.....crysis....no sweat!

One thing that almost renders vist ultimate unusable, is tha damn security features. Every damn time you change a page ior do anything.....bam! popup asking permission for this/permission for that.

That's what I really dislike about the OS. The foundation was never based on solid security/permission. Every program seems to need to go into the root of the system or at least windows assumes so. What I like about Linux/OSX is it asks you when a program touches the root area of the OS, otherwise the program has it's own section.

you can turn off that security feature by going to control panel, User accounts, and clicking on turn on or off user account control. bam, never ever will bug you again.

Nice set-up!!! What case and PSU do you have? If I was going SLI would have gotten the Ultra X-Pro 600W PSU.

The choice of case and PSU was a no-brainer. I liked the look/style/price of most all the Ultra cases and Vs series PSU's. Then Tigerdirect came up with a deal that was basically a b.o.g.o. i got this case and the 700w XproVS modular PSU for 99 bux. Regularly case=$99 and PSU=$99. Couldn't pass this deal up. The combo wasn't pre assembled, in fact the two parts were shipped from different locations. So I got to have the fun of installing PSU.

Nice looking setup Wiskas. Are you very tall? It seems you would either be looking up towards your monitor or reaching down to your mouse / keyboard. It might just be the angle of the pic too.

I'm trying to evolve.

When I tried vista yesterday I had to turn off that UAC because it was so damn annoying, but once it was off I actually enjoyed the OS.

Actually, Jake, my eyes (when i sit up staight) are dead center of the screen.
I've grown so acustomed to the 32" buggar, that everyone elses' seems too small. I didn't know what to think of the Ultra Grid case, as it was about my third choice. but I've really grown to like it.
