So after formatting my system and reinstalling firefox I go to download my favorite extension, dictionary search. To my dismay, when you go to install it it refuses to install because it's not compatible with 1.7 (yet if you update to 1.7 and you have dictionary search it still works).
So here is what I did to get it working again
I went to
http://www.m-w.com/firefox/firefox-popup.htm and installed that dictionary search, updated the extension (through the extensions window) and voilą it works
!!! I then customized it by double clicking the "dictionary search" extension in the extensions window and specified my own search engine to use, answers.com for me.
Yeah!!
