I fell off the internet.

Hey all,
I 've been having some trouble with my shitty dial-up on my auxilliary (Win ME) computer for the past few weeks. The modem connects and logs on nicely, but i can't get a damned thing to connect to anything that isn't on my home network. AIM, firefox, IE(ugh), css, wow; nothing works. I have reinstalled modem drivers, network stuff and the like.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried updating the drivers?

Could the PC handle XP? cos ME is shite with networks.

Try uninstalling the firewall if there is one, reboot and test.

Bit early for me right now so I'll post later when I can think clearer

No firewall, I am upgrading to windows 2000 if and when my friend downloads it for me.

I fixed it by running one of those winsock fixers.
