Ok a couple months ago I posted that my computer kept beeping when ever I ran a game. So we all agreed it was my temps. My CPU was running at 70c in game. Hot as hell. So I installed a TT Big Typhoon, and I also have added yet another case fan. So I have cool air jetted into the cpu and hot air vigorosly being removed from my case. I am now running 33c idle/41c In Game......but I still get beeps....WTF??? can anyone help? Am I at some sort of "Crash" risk?

Your PC speaker is beeping? It could be other problems, like voltage. What kind of PSU do you have?

Find your bios brand, and compare to this:

the PSU is the stock one that came inside of this budget case that I bought. All i know about it right now it that it's a 400W I think....but other then that, I don't know anything..

Do you guys have any suggestions on a PSU I could pick up that would be good but not break the bank?

IF the PSU came with your case then chances are its not very good. What games are u playing because 400watts isnt something to run Fear or oblivion on.

Some on sale this weekend,
http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/Su...SubCategory=58
I'm using these two in my PCs' both with good results, this one in my sig,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817194009
this one with a P4 551, leadtech 6800 vid card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817709003
both my PC's also have 2 hard drives, 2 DVDs', 1 floppy, watercooling pumps, fans and lighting connected to the PSU.

Use this power supply calculator to determine what you need.

I only play HL2/Garry's Mod...sometimes CS but 98% of the time I play Garry's Mod. What brand power supply?? What Am I looking at spending?

I tried the calculator. It says a minimum of 319....I opened my case, I am running a 300W Max Power supply. Not enough, oviously...*Wife Hits Me*

Ok, Here's the deal, my wife says I get one last chance, if I screw this one up no more computer stuff. That $75 Sunbeam is 550W, is it reliable? As stated eariler I am running at temps between 32-42c.....If I put this sunbeam in, should my beeping stop?

One issue with the sunbeam though...I noticed that it is a 20+4 Pin main power plug...I think my mobo is a 20 Pin....I found a converter....I think It'll work...IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT?

As to the Sunbeam, you don't need the 20-24 converter. The 24 pin separates to run 20 as well. I did not use the fan control/ monitor that came with it, as it is unnessesary and the documentation that came with is confusing as hell. When connecting the modulars to the power supply do so in good lighting as the molex connectors CAN be reversed. (I fried a DVD!!!) Read the Newegg reviews, I wasn't the first.
Here are the voltages in my P4 551 (prescott) PC. It's overclocked 25% with a leadteck 6800 vid card, 2 hard drives, 2 DVDR-W, floppy, watercooling, fans, lights, and multiple USB. the calculator says 400 watts.

If it will help with the wife remind her that office supplies are tax deductible.
for those w/ kids in school, education is also a write off.

I am seriously going crazy.....AGHHHHHHHH! I picked up a 500W PS today. It's an Allied, It got good reviews so I got it. Installed it, works good....guess what....I STILL GOT THOSE DAMN F*CKIN BEEPS!!!!!! Man I feel like I'll never get it to go away. My system is cold as a mother, I got 500W of power now...what the hell else could it be? The beeps are not nearly as frequent as they used to be but they are still there.....I feel like I should just unplug the Mobo speaker and forget about it. man I wish I could figgure this out.

Does it work even with the beeps? If it works without any hick-ups, well the speaker is handy for misc beep codes, but....

I think I might have an idea lol... but you won't like it.

If it occurs only in games....

When I play games with my KB, if you press keyboard keys very fast, sometimes your PC will receive too many commands and your PC speaker will just beep to tell you to stop pressing like a mofo. Would it be that?? (lol)

No it's not pressing keys too fast, It's Gmod so it's not like I need to be ultra quick or do crazy stuff. It only happens in games, and to be completly honest, my system is running awsome. I just unplugged that POS and called it a day....if my PC blows up, It'll make for a good firework show, but it seems to be running smooth as silk, so I am just going to forget about it.
