Any T-mobile user who got hot spot on the cell. Is that any good? Will it work with any Wi-fi base system? Just curious to see how they work and if they any good.

The only cool thing I saw on the phone was at the end of the second video on engadget that showed google maps street view and a plugin called compass. As you moved with the phone the street view moved!

im playing with the interface on my vogue thanks to the sdk linux port hack
its smooth as butter running on top of windows mobile!

its pretty awesome, must be a heck better on the actual g1.

i dont understand how the compass works internally.
agps isnt strong enough to tell your cardinal position in a vertical pinpoint rotation, or at least i dont think. it takes a couple steps in the direction for the direction to be recognized.

so im thinking the accelerometer in it has something to do with it?
edit: according to gsm arena is has a "digital compass" in it, i dont know how digital compasses work, so its pretty neat such a thing made it into a phone.
