i just got a couple year old media center hp for my living room, i went and reformatted it assuming hp would have the drivers on their website, i cant find the audio or video drivers on there, the audio one on there wont work, this is all the hp website craps out Software & Driver downloads*HP Media Center m7170n Desktop PC and windows update isnt finding anything, any help would be appreciated!

Looks like the video card is an ATI X300SE and you can get those at ATI.com

The sound is an realtek HD onboard card. I'll see if I can find that.

It's a Realtek ACL888 chip on an Asus 95lp-le board. (just from a quick google)

HP does everything in thier power to get you to buy thier latest greatest models. They dwell on the borderline of ripping you off. i no longer concider HP for any hardware purchases, as well as creative (for the same reason).

i dont doubt it, but this was a freebie so i couldnt complain, ive wanted to setup a computer out there for a while so im happy as hell, now i just need a wireless keyboard and mouse combo, i have been using a mouse with a long ass cord and the on screen keyboard, im cheap

Creative survives for lack of competition. They have tried so hard to bankrupt themselves over the years but just can't seem to pull it off.

ok guys bumping this again.... sorry! but i changed my wireless router to wpa2 and for some reason the wireless nic wont work with that, so i need drivers for the motherboard's ethernet controller, i searched for the 95lp-le board and couldnt find anything
