| Dont mess with old school | I've been running a pc based router for a while and I've recently been having problems with it (clarkconnect). I'm ready to go simple and just use my modems built in firewall and a switch. However one thing I do like that clarkconnect has is a photo gallery (Gallery | Your photos on your website). How hard would it be for me to setup a server that would meet the requirements (web server, php)? I'm thinking some linux variation but since I suck at using linux with a command line I'm not sure if I will be up to the task. My current "router" pc is a 700mhz pIII w/512MB of ram and a 40GB hard drive. |

| Indeed go simple. Machines being used as routers should never be used for anything other than routing/NAT/Firewall, because it's a security issue. |
