I just bought a 24" Samsung LCD monitor (WOW!) hooked up through DVI. Is there a good program to calibrate this thing? I have no idea how to do it, really. Sucks enough that it's 60Hz native, but that's with all 1920x1200s I suppose. Anyway, thanks for the help in advance

Are you talking about color calibration? If so you need a optical hardware type calibration tool for it to be accurate.

Well I just want to try and make it look nice.. Like, not stock. I know theres programs out there that can do it better than the menu on the monitor, no?

I've heard of CD's that you plop into your DVD player for TV screen calibration but, not any programs you can download. Hmmm? It's a good question.

I used the display calibration wizard in the nvidia drivers, though I adjusted contrast where it said to adjust brightness, because adjusting brightness never got the two bars to match in blackness.

Here's a webpage that will either help, or just make your eyes hurt...

Yeah, we need more input on this. I've been looking to calibrate my monitor as well.

Hex2Bit - Software by Mike Walters

Below is what I was initially talking about. I would think it would work in a PC with a DVD drive.
Ovation Multimedia

Joe Kane Productions
