open computer case and use house fan blowing on it substituting the video card cooler works? doe's the performance equalent with the real coolers?

I'm having a hard time understanding what you wrote...but I think I have an idea.

If you're going to use a house-fan on your case, don't start removing fans from CPU/Video heatsinks. Blowing an outside fan in your case, at most, is just for better internal airflow and shouldn't substitute fans on the respective heatsink.

*EDIT*

Oh yeah, and be prepared for more dust if you go this route.

It worked great for me when i had a P3 600.

Same here. I could only do 1.2ish with the side panel on...


Its a great idea, just leave the heatsink on.
