| Tweak Minion | Ok guys I need your vast expertise on this one. This is my computer. http://www.powerspec.com/systems/arc...selection=9420 What HD would you suggest I replace the old one with and, should I upgrade the video card? Please look at the specs on the mobo first. I haven't kept up with this stuff for awhile. Thanks in advance. | |
| I think one of the great problems we have in the Republican Party is that we don't encourage you to be nasty. We encourage you to be neat, obedient, loyal and faithful and all those Boy Scout words, which would be great around a campfire but are lousy in politics. - Newt Gingrich | ||

| Rogue One | OK, so it supports IDE and SATA, and both types of drive are really cheap these days so you can basically get whatever you want. It should be easy to pick up a 300+ gig drive for a decent price if you want to get some extra space If you get a SATA drive, remember that they have their own type of power connector, so if the current PSU doesn't have them you'll either need to replace it or get a Molex->SATA adapter. As for the video card, most high end cards are PCIE now, I'm not sure what the best AGP card is at the moment... | |

| Dont mess with old school | That video card isn't fast enough? I would invest in a sata drive only because you know that in the future if you upgrade it will be compatible. Unless you plan on getting the wd 150GB raptor (10,000rpm goodness for sata) then almost anything out there will be fine, just get something with 8MB or 16MB of cache. I wouldn't spend too much because it sounds like hard drive technology is about to make a giant leap in the next year or so. | |

| Tweak Minion | I'm running 2x 80GB seagate SATA's in RAID-0 24/7 with no issues... and they're silent, again though it's just preference. I'd hang on to that video card for now, at least until you make a motherboard upgrade to PCI-E | |
