BIG and kinda weird looking. But it does seem to be a very good cooler. Can't wait to see other (and more in depth) reviews.

It looks a little pointless to me. There is only so much you can do with air cooling. The Thermalright SP-97 is about as rediculous as I will go.

well, according the tests on that review, this thing outperforms at least 1 watercooling setup, and the fan was running 200rpm slower than its maximum too.

I really really want one, but despite the fact that the review says you can use it on "any cpu or mainboard", I don't think that includes socket A/462. I guess I'll just have to start saving for an Athlon64 system just so I can run that cooler

Meh, I would take those numbers with a grain of salt. They didn't describe their testing environment very well. Plus, from what I have seen it's going to cost $75.00. If I am going to spend $75.00, it is going towards making my PC quieter, not towards another jet engine.

I guess we'll have to wait and see when more reviews come out. At $100(canadian), I guess I won't be picking one up anytime soon either. You're right, that's definitely on the pricey side, I didn't realize it would be quite that much. I still really want one though, but there's a lot of things I want that I don't have and won't buy.

Yeah, just slightly overpriced. If they got it down to $50-$60 that might be more reasonable. Also, with its height/weight, that is gonna put ALOT more stress on a vertical motherboard.

P180B, E6600 @ 3.6, Evga 680i, Corsair DDR2-1066 Dominator (2*1GB), Evga 8800GTX @ 650/1000, X-Fi XM, WD Raptor 150GB, WD 2500KS, Plextor 755SA, Seasonic M12 700.

Chillen with DD and the Dark Side.

Damn, Zalman makes some cool looking stuff. But nowadays, you can buy an Athlon 64 Venice 3000+ for $120 and a good motherboard and overclock the hell out of it with stock cooling, so what's the point? There's not a good chance that thing'll fit on next gen sockets, so it's a waste of money if you just buy the right processor.
