| Indigenous Nudist | i got an old compaq pc im fiddling with, 500mhz, 180 somthing mb of ram, 80gig hdd, wireless network card linksys, gOS, onboard sound, graphics exalt recognizes the wireless network when i make it visible, but it cant connect and retrieve a dhcp address.. i plugged it up via ethernet cable and it got an address and internet worked.. the wireless card is recognized in the system devices when i boot up the computer, after the grub option screen, it brings up some options to choose vga settings or something weird.. i can either sit there for 30 seconds or choose from a list of options that i have no clue as to what they represent. I press space bar to continue, and the screen blacks out for a good 40-50 seconds, SLOW as HECK! and then gos loads up.. is there anyway i can bypass that options screen and make the bootup faster? is there a way to turn off transparency? i need some gOS tweaks to speed it up. |

| Banned | Does the dhcp time out or u get an error message? As for speed, min specs are 1ghz with 256mb ram...gos sounds a bit bloated. |
