My brother watches streaming TV on Surf the Channel from time to time, and let me know that Google now reports it as harmful.

I block pop-up ads, but I assume there is some reason for this. Maybe spyware? I think it's the first time I've seen a site go from "okay" to "harmful" in Google's eyes.

I bet that kills a site's traffic pretty bad when it happens. I wonder if they considered it genuinely harmful or if it's about piracy.

BTW, StopBadware.Org says: "No StopBadware partners are reporting badware behavior on this site."

Google probably flagged it automatically due to things like cross site scripting or excessive redirection requests. NoScript blocked certain Yahoo search results for this reason, till a later version came out to fix that behavior. Mostly.
