Ok so not even a year ago, I purchased a PC from HSN it was a gateway, but it came at a really good price, so I get the PC and the onboard LAN doesnt work, I call Gateway who by the way doesnt have a toll free number because I bought it from a retailer and not through Gateway itself, they tell me I needed to ship back the system so they can reinstall a new mobo, fuck that it was brand new so I went out and bought a new ethernet card.

Fast forward today, I wake up boot up the PC and the fucking onboard video doesnt work, what the fuck, so this is my chance to get a PCI-E card and not just need an excuse to blow money, open the saturday papers and BAM Bestbuy has a X1600 Pro 512MB PCI-E card on sale, and the manager said I can have the sale price today, since the store was closed tomorrow.

Come home install the new card, and there is still no fucking signal going to the computer, I also noticed a red light on the bottom of the motherboard (which the guys tells me was normal when I called) I also noticed the fucking dvd drive doesnt open now Im really fucking pissed, I called the number again, which is in Cali, they told me they would send me a box to ship it back to them overnight, and I should get it in 10 - 15 business days.

Im really fucking pissed, and I usally don't get this mad over something small that can be fixed.

I also picked up WOW, and The Godfather which I now have to wait a while longer to play..............

forgot to mention the operator said the whole motherboard was prob ready to go since the onboard lan didnt work when I first got it.....

They said if the parts need to be changed, I may have a shot at getting a free Pentium D upgrade.

Should've had them replace the whole thing in teh first place.... If something doesnt work right out of the box, I wouldn't even mess with just working around the problem. I would have had them fix it ASAP.

HSN, QVC, lowes, bestbuy, homedepot wallyworld etc, buy shit, at times, to be able to sell them cheaper. Many are seconds or built with substandard parts, as in the case of wallmart. You usually get what you pay for. I haven't even concidered not building my own for 10 years now. I certainly don't miss talking to 24/7 tech support. Good luck on that one.
