Ok I just did a fresh install on the computer in my room, formatted the HDD and everything. The computer in my room is hooked up to a Motorolla Surfboard Cable modem and a Netgear Router. Another computer in another room (this one) gets the wireless signal from that Netgear. OK so Here's where Im at.

I need to get the Internet set up to work for the new install in my room. I have done this before a few times but right now I can't remember for the life of me how to do it. Any help would be awsome. Thanks.

it should just be plug in play -- im not sure what your trying to do exactly ... are you hooked up directly to the router, or you trying to setup some kind of ICS?

No Im hooked directly to the router. I just don't understand, do I need to install the router to that computer, or the modem to that cop\mputer, It's a fresh install so Im a little in the dark. Please Help if you can

hmm, fresh install huh ive delt with this on some dells,burn the eathernet drivers and install em, then go go go
