Flash / Youtube videos freeze after 2 seconds in Google Chrome browser

Just like the common Firefox problem (Youtube video problems in Firefox. Freezes at 2 seconds) now I'm having this issue in the Google Chrome browser. It only seems to happen if I've had a long session and plenty of tabs open.

The video freezes after 2 seconds of play. There is no sound.

Anyone else had this issue?

I've had this happen to me in Firefox exactly once. Restarting fixed it. I honestly think it's more likely a problem with the plug-in version of Flash itself, than the browsers...

I've had the latest version of Flash all through this crisis.

Restarting does fix the problem with Firefox, but not with Chrome (for me)... but I'd probably have to close every process it opened instead of just manually closing the browser.

I had this problem once last week (Firefox 3, Vista) and restarting the browser fixed it. Never happened before or since.

Had a similar problem with Chrome. I restarted my PC and it's worked fine ever since. I usually run my system for 3-4 weeks at a time without a restart, so restarting when chrome screws up isn't a big deal.

I'm having the same problem... really frustrating. It usually freezes for 10-15 seconds, then continues unabated. Its a really weird issue.... I hope it gets fixed in future versions.

I think Flash just sucks donkey dick overall. In Leopard the fans go nuts when I watch a youtube video. What's the deal with Adobe?

I have had this same problem for months, I have tried about 6 different browsers. None work. I've uninstalled flash several times. Have more or less given up trying to watch video content. If I really want to watch something I can save it too the hard drive KeepVid: Download and save any video from Youtube, Dailymotion, Metacafe, iFilm and more! is good for this, but it's much more painful than just browsing. Please someone find a solution.
