Hi, I didnt know exactly where to post this Topic. This Section seemed Best.
Im building an Aircooled Case of my own design. Nothing Radical, just lots of Air in a full sized tower. I bought this danged Acrylic 18 months ago with the idea of using it for my new computer but didnt have funds for the Hardware till now. It all collected dust and spiderwebs in my Garage. The glued backingpaper for the acrylic became bonded to the plastic.
This is what I have so far. Hope the Mod Gods will allow the pics. Comments and Questions welcomed.
Planning to make sure the case would hold everything.----- Measuring out and cutting the Core Frame pieces

All lined up, squared and glued.--------------Farther Along Now and test fit.

At This Point, I had an Intimate Moment with the blade of my table saw. No Pic sorry. But it did slow my building down a bit.

The Motherboard Tray is clear acrylic and is removable (sort-of). It attaches to the two vertical posts I have there, with four screws. This solution is easy enough for me. I just rotate the case with the backside down and place the tray/motherboard in and screw it up. More Pics later will show it more completely.

you'll have better airflow if you put only one fan in the bottom front and two in the back near the psu

Yes, actually the rear fan is lined up with my cpu fan, Zalman 9500. It should be a straight shot out the back for the CPU Air. Im using 120m's and didnt have enough room for two in the back so I put one on top to help equalize pos/neg air pressure. I have two Intake and two Exhaust, plus my Arctic Cooling GPU Fan exhausts out the back as well so it will be just slightly a negative air situation. All case fans are 9 blade Silverstones pushing 55cfm at 1200 rpms. Man they are Quiet! I did not want clear fans or clear fans with lights. I wanted black fans and will use black shrink for my PSU cables as well. The Less Bling the better for me. The Zalman has a lighted clear fan and that will be enough for me.
Next pics should have the side panels installed.

Ive run into a few setbacks. I had to build a strip-heater. No biggie really. It works as it should. Next, practicing, heating and bending acrylic.
Ive got the temps right and bending it comming along but, the plastic wants to warp badly as it cools and the bend angles arent as tight as I need for the job. So, I built a Jig to hold one edge of the plastic as I bend it, and then when the bend is complete, I will clamp another piece to hold the top portion of the material in place. When the bend is complete I will use a heat gun to kind of stress relieve the bend area then let it cool down. Hopefully this will help me achieve the results im looking for.

Well Ive had enough of fooling around with strip-bending. I just cannot stop the warpage. I decided to do the side panel arrangement with a two-piece angle at the top.
I tried fitting the mobo with video card attached to see if the weight would tweak the box any. It didnt. The box is dirty in this photo but its basically finished. I will take out all the hardware to clean and polish, then its onward with the install.

Looks great, but I think the fans are overkill
