firefox bug?

a site i frequent's adverts... or something in firefox's code... makes firefox bloat up (i assume) to 1.1gb-ish and then some...

task manager never displays it as using more then 360,000ish k; but ending the process unjams everything and drops the PF usage from 1.3gb to 270ish mb again...

i wanna find what's causing this and kill it... so, any ideas of what it is?

oh yeah. it's firefox 1.0.7 i'm running. thanks.

edit: i think from the way the ads cycle it's a flash ad, i finally got it set up right in the hosts to block that one, but it seems a rather recent thing.

it does make the mem usage go up for me and the cpu use increases to about 24%. its the flash ad.. just grab adblock or something

i've never had flash ads make it go up so high, and i don't think it happened before 1.0.7 either... weird. blocked it in the hosts file successfully finally.

don't believe the ad did that much damage before the upgrade to 1.0.7 either... otherwise i wouldn't have brought it up at all.
