find out people's passwords?

Well I use windows, but I had a "hack" related question so I thought I'd put it here. I have never done any type of hacking or whatever but I was wondering if it is easy to find out peoples passwords like on Myspace or something? Is there like some method, or program that would help you find a myspace password?

You can ask the person for their password and using your "1337 Social Engineering skills"
