| couture with a chaser | okay so my external hard drive took a digger tonight onto a floor. about a 2 foot drop. so i turned it off and turned it back on and now it's making a high pitched clicking sound....fiddy said i'm fucked. it has my life on it though so i don't want it to be dead. how costly is it to get info off of it? more or less i got all my music saved by a godsend because my computer was pissing me off so i took my dad's mac and plugged my external into it to get my music to listen to and it transferred all my music onto it, but i lost all of my photos, some of which are very near to me as they don't exist anywhere else. so if someone could help me out it would amazing..... |

| outside the box! | This is a good reason for me to continue my whole system backup. I'm so sorry that this has happened to you. Is it totally inaccessible? |
![]() Say goodbye to our beloved planet. Because there is alot more money to be made in emitting greenhouse gasses, than curtailing emissions. Get out of the box, then recycle it. | |

| Tweak Minion | yeah you're pretty fucked... you can try the freezer trick (long shot but it's worked for me a few times in odd situations) but other than that if it's really important you could send it to a data recovery center, expensive solution. |
