Well, I just reinstalled Windows (XP SP2) and there are still all the original accounts from before which I cannot delete. I go into Documents and Settings, and get to the user accounts (I make all hidden files and folders viewable)...But when I click on an old account and try to delete it, I get this: Error Deleting File or Folder; Cannot delete Gorillaz Factory: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use. And when I try to go into the folder I get this message: C:\Documents and Settings\Gorillaz Factory is not accessible. Accsess is denied. I tried running it is safe mode and deleting them from the administrator, but that didn't work either. I only have like two gigs left on the Windows HDD, and it's all because of those user accounts....What should I do? Thanks for any help.

Gamercard

Right click on "My Computer" and choose Manage. Click Local Users and Groups > Users

Find the accounts you want to delete and delete them here first. Then go to "My Computer" and browse to C:\Documents and Settings. Right click on the folder of the profile you would like to delete and select Properties. Click the Security tab and then click the Advanced button. Click the Owner tab and take ownership of the folder by selecting your account from the list below. Check the box that says "Replace owner..." and click Apply.

If you can't delete the folders after doing that, well then I guess they'll just have to hang around for a while.

Right click "my computer" goto "properties"-->advanced-->user profiles, highlight the user you want and click on the delete button.

Doing this will also erase any data associated with that user (my documents, cache, cookies, etc).
