| Senior Member | Heres the thing, 5 full DVDs backed up from my laptop and none of them work. Ive burned working dvds before. No comptuer on the face of the earth wil access them. What i think it might have been is oversized file names that effected the formatting of the DVDs. I seem to be able to read certain portions of them on some and the rest wont read. Any suggestions on a program that might be able to get by the format of the DVD and get past this theoretical problem with file names larger than 128 characters? |

| Tweak Minion | Most burning programs will recognize if the file names you are using are overtly large. They will then automatically change the disc format to accomadate this. It should be not be a problem. Are you using different media from before? Is the drive just getting old? Try burning slower and closing out any unnesscessary programs. |
