So I have this crappy RCA 40GB MP3 player, that does not work right all the time...

But. I'm trying to update the files on it, and I go to delete everything, and ther ea re 4GB of files left over when I go to diskspace. I cant see them, even with hidden files turned on, but with SequioaView I can see them, in F:\recycled. However when I browse through the drive, still dont see anything.

So, next step, just reformat the drive. That wont work either for some reason. I get the message "will erase, blah blah" and say OK, but it does not format....

Ideas?

Can't you just run disk clean up on it?

Nope, when I click on the drive, it does not give me that option for some reason.

Try doing a disk clean up on all the other drives.

Those work just fine, the thing is the MP3 player is listed under Removable storage instead of Hard disk drives, but it does not explain why I can't do a Disk Clean or format it.
