Anybody have any idea hwo to change the windows xp temp dir? I'm outa space on C: \ need to change the folder to E: \TEMP - I tried adding TEMP=E: \TEMP to autoexec.bat but thats not done anything.

Another method I'm less confident in trying is editing the registry to change the Doc & Settings location - never done that before so I dont know how that would work.

This is all because I wanna patch Battlefield2 to 1.1 for Special Forces and the patchers are asking for 2.6GB spare on Ec: \ which I just cant do right now, BF2's installed on E: \.

Right click on My Computer and click properties, Click on the Advanced tab. Click on Environment Variables.

You have 4 options you need to change, 2 under user variables, 2 under system variables. It should be pretty obvious which ones you need to change.
