Is there a way to change a static IP address without contacting my ISP - or get a fake IP in my browser somehow, so any sites I maybe IP banned from, I won't be anylonger

No questions I've been a naughty boy

It used to be for my Charter cable that if the MAC address of the computer connected to the modem changed then I would get a new IP. Since I had a router with the option to clone whatever MAC I wanted then I could just change it to a new one (it even had a randomize MAC option) and bingo I got a new IP. Havn't tried that in a while.

"They" might be blocking non parsed header CGI scripts (what pretty much all web proxies are). The newest version of CGIproxy let's you run it with nph's turned off. Here's the site. You'll obviously need to host it somewhere. It's all there on the site...

I would do the same thing as Eps -- if you have a router, you can change it's MAC address, and it will pull a different IP from your ISP. Similarly, if you have a router, and hook up the modem straight through to your PC, it'll pull a different IP as well.
