if that's the case, then ATI has a lot of work to do if what I've read about Crossfire is right - with Crossfire you can use 2 different models from different manufacturers, but if you use, say, an x700 with an x850, the x850 will run at x700 speeds. I read that a few months ago, maybe they've wised up since...? if they're smart they will i guess.

all that makes SLI seem a lot more appealing than it used to.
