I've got basic cable, Comcast. I have this split to 4 televisions in my house and all work fine. I have a new tenant upstairs and was thinking to split the cable to the apt. upstairs.
If they had 3 more tv's would the signal still be enough?
What about if I were to get internet through comcast as well?
Phone service?
If I went to the digital cable can it still be used like the basic w/ a "cable ready" TV?

I dunno. I have digital / HD cable and am able to mix with basic clients. The non-digital clients just show the basic content. I'd say just try it and see.

I haven't offered this to the tenant yet as I don't know what will happen if I upgrade my service. My ISP is currently ATT along with my phone but my contract for internet service is almost up so I'm considering cable for the whole package, phone, web and tv. We'll see what the prices are like.
Do I need to go digital to get the web?
Monday I'll call Comcast and see what they have to offer.

No you don't need digital to go web, we've got the "starter cable" paired with our web. As for the splitter you need to use a digital splitter if you've got a digital box else you'll cut out the signal. The "cable-ready" tvs will work with just the coax drop and no box, but you won't get any of the digital channels.
