Hey everyone,

Okay so here's whats going on. I just recently got cable (1.5 months ago). The ISP is good and the cable itself rocks, I'm very happy with it. However, I keep having this fucking annoying problem, and its happened since I've had this Internet.

Every 10 minutes, no matter what I'm doing, I have to power cycle my router (I just pull the plug out), in order for the internet to work. Its rather fucking annoying. It just seems that it wants to shit out every 10 minutes. Anyway, it was getting to be a major problem, and now that I got the Xbox 360, getting kicked off Live! every 10 minutes really isn't fun.

My router is a Linksys BEFW11S4, and my modem is a Motorola SURFboard SB5101.

Please tell me there's some kind of setting I have to change or something easy, cause this is really annoying.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Does it disconnect you every 10 minutes if your hooked up straight to the cable modem?

Good question to answer...also try updating the routers firmware. Are you sure you're not running a torrent app or something in the background?

firmware upgrade like stated, also http://www.dslreports.com/faq/linksys/2.4%20BEFS11S4 theres also a way to login to your modem and see the reports there to check the noise on your line.

I make myself laugh.

Linksys is teh gay. Mine did the same thing to. I reloaded the biotch, then re-flashed it, THEN I reset factory defaults, reloaded again, then configured and it seems to be workingfine atm...
