| Dangerous | I want to get a 32" flat screen tv for my bedroom. What would be the best (cheapest) place to get one? I am not looking for the best quality. I am not going to get blue ray movies or HD movies to watch on it. I only own regular DVD's... I have been to walmart and seen some tv's for about 400 bucks...is there a placae to get some cheaper? I checked ebay but they are actually more expensive then wally world... |

| Resident Cynic | If you're not really a videophile then I reccomend you go got Walmart, pick a few you like based on your personal tastes, then go home and compare the reviews. I think the only thing that you should be looking at beyond picture quality is the warranty. You don't want to buy a cheap ass TV and find out if it breaks that they won't cover a damned thing. |

| Globe Trekker | I personally wouldn't buy a $400 TV of that size. Spend $700-900 and you'll have something nice. Hell, I picked up a 40" 720P Sony for my in-laws six months ago for $800. |

If i am going to spend close to grand I might as well toss in a couple hundred more and get a 50" or larger tv... | |

| Globe Trekker | You have a particular model in mind? I can check Consumer Reports for the reliability info. If you like the way it looks that's all that really matters. |

| Senior Member | nice price. Newegg got same thing but more expensive, and have mix review about it. I try to buy bigger electronic items from store. Just in case they fail to work you can take it back to store. The shipping and handling and time it take to send back and there response just makes too much work. But you sure can get good price online. |

| Original Gangsta | westinghouse is a greatbrand, IMO. but one thing to remember is that they have such low prices because they are monitors, and not actual TV's, so no tv tuner, and no speakers. you'll have to use a cable box (who doesn't have on these days though really?) and external sound like surround sound |

| Globe Trekker | I for one and glad they've pulled the tuners out. I've been paying for that shit for 20 years and haven't needed them once. |

| Resident Cynic | Don't even worry about it, everything goes digital in 2009, so you're going to need a box anyway. |
