I'm in the market for a larger display, and am considering these (below). Any suggestions? The prices shipped are about the same. I really like the glossy screen of the HP, but the Samsung has a longer warranty...

Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 226BW Black 22" 2 ms (GTG) DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 700:1(DC 3000:1) - Retail

Buy HP w2207 22-inch Widescreen Flat-Panel Monitor(RK282AA#ABA), HP LCD Flat-Panel Displays and Widescreen Monitors, Displays direct from the HP Home & Home Office Store

Doesn't Dell make some crazy monitors? From what I read their high-end monitors are really high quality and nice.

My parents have the 22'' Samsung and they like it. My dad watches alot of movies and it looks good quality. No dead pixles or defects so far.

I was a Dragon force fan before Guitar Hero..

Yessir. I have a 17" and I am very satisfied. My next upgrade ill be a 22" widecreen, or to that effect and will be a dell as well.

the higher end HPs are supposed to be really nice from the reviews I have read. More features namely. If its a good name brand, I wouldn't be too worried, I'd just at the features and specs

My trouble with the Samsung is that it's a 6-bit display. They list it as displaying 16.7 million colors, but the truth is that it's a 6-bit that uses some sort of technique to be able to make that claim. I think I'm going to get the HP, or maybe the 24 inch Dell if it goes on sale.

This one is pretty nice too, but at that price I'd rather wait and get the Dell because it has picture in picture and picture by picture, plus input ports for cable boxes, etc.

Dude. Your Dell is going to be a Samsung, just with a different plastic cover. Samsung is going to be your best monitor for not shelling out hundreds more for a Sony or Apple display (who uses LG/Philips for their monitors).

Check Slickdeals.net as Dell monitors go on sell about every 3-4 months. If I see it on my RSS feed and remember, I'll try and send you a PM. Optionally, you can purchase one of these: eBay - dell coupon

Yeah, the 8-bit Samsung displays are great. I just would like the PIP and PBP feature, if the price is close.
